Behind a balanced scoring effort that saw the 12 U.S. players score, five of them in double digits, the U.S. men’s team persevered and fought for a deserved 94-92 victory in the bronze medal game Sunday in the Dominican Republic CODE Dome.
The bronze medal showing at the U.S. was first media U.S. men Pan American Games since 1999, when the team also won silver. The Americans have won a medal in 13 of his 16 appearances in Pan American Games, including a record eight gold medals and three silver and two bronze. U.S. Men has a 87-15 (.851 winning percentage) all-time mark in the Pan American Games.
